Here are some random notes about e-mail:

My e-mails will probably be nicer to read when displayed in a monospaced font.
I will not try to impress you with questionably formatted messages and waste your band width by sending you HTML e-mails. And I hope you won't do so either.
I will gracefully ignore any requests for read/delivery-receipts. This doesn't mean that I consider your mail unimportant but rather that I am concerned about my privacy. Since I respect yours I will never ask you for such notifications. And I hope you won't do so either.
I will not put the information I want to send you into a file that can only be read after buying a certain piece of software. And I hope you won't do so either. (If I get mailed such documents they are likely to be ignored. — Read more about it.)
I will not try to increase your attention with ALL-UPPERCASE TEXT INCLUDING AN INSANELY HIGH NUMBER OF EXCLAMATION MARKS!!!! And I hope you won't do so either.
